Councillor calls for public apology from Mayor.Labour Councillor for Collingwood Ward, Ian Grayson, has written to the external auditors, Price Waterhouse Coopers, asking them to investigate the misuse of Council facilities by the new Conservative Mayor for North Tyneside.
The Conservative manifesto from the recent mayoral elections has been placed on the Council’s Web site.
Councillor Grayson said,
"This is clearly a political document and it is not accepted Council policies and it should not be used in this way. The manifesto is also critical of the previous administration, which is Conservative Party propaganda.
The manifesto has been put there using Council employees time and expertise which is not acceptable.”
The manifesto has been on the Council Web site for some weeks now and Councillor Grayson is demanding that the site be removed immediately and that Mayor Morgan makes a public apology.
