An important Message for Residents of Moor ParkThe following is a letter hand delivered by Councillor Ian Grayson on behalf of himself and his 2 ward Colleagues, Councillors Hall and Cox, to 400 residents on 21st September 2003.
Dear Resident,
Over the past few weeks, we have become increasingly concerned, as I am sure you will have done, about the litter, weeds and graffiti on the Estate.
As your ward councillors we met with officers from Environment to raise our concerns with them and it has been agreed for the whole estate to be cleared of litter and for the weeds to be treated with an application of herbicide. It has also been agreed that the graffiti on the estate will be removed or painted over wherever possible.
As we have arranged for your estate to be cleaned up and officers from Environment will be in the area shortly to carry out this work, we would be very grateful if you could use the form attached to this letter to make any suggestions as to other environmental work you would like to see undertaken in your neighbourhood.
Finally, we as your ward councillors are pleased to bring you this good news and we will continue to strive to obtain improvements for the estate in which you live.
