My aim with the production of this site is to keep in touch with you the public. I will keep you informed of issues, debates and to seek your opinions so that I can be an effective advocate of the Labour Party.

    There is an elderly lady who lives near Shields Road. She is not as good on her feet as she once was. She loved to get out and about, including getting the bus to Whitley Bay. But Shields Road was such an obstacle

    This has been a running sore for months, and I have almost given up hope of getting a straight and reliable answer, despite the Mayor seeking to help me.

    It is important for the Council to deal with small matters effecting everyday life, like the safety of children, as well as the big issues of ‘overall strategy’
